Take a look at the catalog,  it's not bad at all. Now look at the cost of a subscription to rent just one game at a time from game fly and the value becomes apparent really fast. More games will come but that price is literally best in class.


I didn't say it was bad. It's just that for me to bite on this i'd have to be in a really dry month where the only thing i'm gonna do gaming wise is play PS3 games on the PS4. And i'd sub for a month, then stop. Otherwise, if i'm playing ps4 games (and games on other platforms), i'd never have enough time to play these games to justify the sub. That's just me

I love the subscription idea, and even its pricing. the way I see it, any serious gamer can pay for a month and play through at least 6-10 games they really want and ditch the service till when next games they want are on it.

So... $180 a year to play a limited selection of old games? Yeah.

This will grow into something massive, but right now it definitely isn't worth it. Especially if you currently own a PS4 and are already paying for PS+. At least $230 you'd be paying every year before you even bought your first new game.

It'll be be outstanding for that price once you can play relatively new PS4 games on it, but until then, not an attractive deal. You're better off just renting the games you want to play individually for now.

If you can crunch through many games quickly it's defo worth it. If it takes 12 months to complete the games you want then it's probably a pass.

 

Hopefully like PS+ the service will get better over time. I was kinda hoping a $15 per month or $30 per 3 months and $100 per year. Maybe with ps+ discount

Yes that's actually a good idea and probably what i'm gonna do when it comes to EU

sub for a month (or 3, if there are long JRPGs in there), play through all the PS3 games i missed that are on the service, then not renew until there's something else I want to play.

and no time is lost with downloading/installing/patching - just start the stream and start to play
