Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was probably a sales disappointment for 2K Games, it is tracking way behind both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 1. They made a mistake releasing it on last-gen only, if it had released on last and current gen it would have sold alot more.

This is a pretty good shout - it should've done a lot better than it has.  I think it'll do alright in the end, but mostly through bargain bin sales.

OT: I don't actually have any suggestions for this year, because I haven't been following sales all that much.  It looked like Sunset Overdrive & Driveclub were going to bomb to me, but bundles seem to have saved them from that.

For anyone interested, I did a couple of these threads about 2013 sales.  It's been a fairly quiet year compared to last year:

Western game sales

Japanese game sales

Destiny is at nearly 9M across all versions (VGC numbers). With Activision saying the digital attach rate was ~20%, that's over 10M copies already
Doubt it was a sales disappointment

Shush shush my friend. It took them a whole 24 hours if sales for the game to be profitable. We all know if a game doesnt make a profit in like 12 hours MAX after release its a huge flop and disapointment

I don't think the game would've fared much better if it had current gen versions to be honest ...

COD: AW only proved to us that there are still a lot of customers on last gen systems so it getting poor sales for not having a current gen version sounds more like an excuse than an actual reason ...

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was just weak all around compared to it's predecessors ...
