I think they might have also have got the actual xbox fans waiting for the price to drop before they picked up the console they were always going to choose in November and Decemeber, thats only a limited market and makes a sales spike from, i guess you'd call it 'backed up' sales?

So the hourly is #10 and #15. It's amazing how it never passed it. You'd expect a spike from the cut but at the same time you'd expect that effect to wear off in a few weeks. I wonder will it fall further behind or if this is the new baseline.

Next question is, if sony stay comfortably ahead will they drop the price to 329 or to 299. Depends how much they want to win the usa, but at the same time they dont want to force sony to make a killer move. I believe Sony planned a 50$ cut at Xmas and another this xmas. But with better than expected sales, they might hold out for a killer. 100$ cut this xmas. Now That would be fun.

Gap is widening!

This is hard to believe honestly. I don't know what MS does from here other then take more losses. They might as well raise the price back up. What are they going to do for the holidays $250 x1? I'm sure PS4 will drop to $350 by then but maybe not.
