Yep, its close to pre price cut again. I think the only reason it was selling more last holiday was because of the other games bundled in.

Imho, xbox is going to lose january and all the years util Halo lauch. The effect "need to buy xbox fast, because they are in the middle of a promotion." is over, now people just see the $349,99 X1 and think, "hey, i can have this price at any time..."
$50 dollar advantage isn't enoght, Ps4 will win USA from JAN - SET , just see the line of games, Ps4 is going strong as hell and Xbox just used the majotity of the Gás ( util Holidays, they have some realy big things for the endof the year!)

Probably because most of the buyers were parents looking for a cheap holiday deal for the kids. It says Xbox on it, comes with mutliple games, it's $349 or lower = good enough. Problem is this is a really fickle type of customer that's only good for the end of the year.

Do you guys think Sony will really drop the price? I see a situation like MicroSony did last gen where there were very little real price drops and more of a situation where they keep the price the same but add more value. There's no reason for Sony to drop the price right now. So instead they now pack in LoU HD. And maybe later this year they make it a 1TB HDD with LoU HD and Driveclub included or something for the same price.

Bingo. They'll just add their own first party games to bundles rather than unnecessary price cuts.

If Xbox with the price cut drops back to pre price cut sales then ms might aswell put the price back up. Otherwise they'll be selling the same number but for less.

Of course they are going to drop the price.  It'll be 2 years that the PS4 has been on the market later this year.  No Sony console lasted over 2 years without a price cut, not even the PS2.   It helps the momentum continue, instead of letting it die out, and trying to jumpstart it weeks/months later with a pricecut.  Sometimes it doesn't work as well as they want it to, like we are seeing with the XBO currently.  They will definitely have a 500GB SKU, probably with no game, for $349 by the end of this year.  They will probably have a 1TB SKU some time in the future for $399, though.

I keep seeing the same assassin's creed bundle on amazon, at least the image picture.

Yep I have the same theory.
