PS4 remains at #8. X1 falls to #14. Both have red arrows.

The PS4's had its red arrow for the whole day and pretty much remained at 8.

To clarify,  the arrow color represents the product's current position relative to adjacent products when compared to 24 hours ago. Therefore,  it doesn't give absolute direction of sales.

For example, the PS4 may be selling at the same exact rate as yesterday. It was the 5th highest selling product. But today the PSN cards, and Zelda sold more therfore even if PS4 SOLD the same amount today, it's rank fell compared to its rank yesterday.

And vise versa.  Amazon Best Sellers don't show if something is selling more or less, only it's sales in comparison to other products.

I don't think theory is correct, though.  There are times in the past 24 hrs when the arrows have been gone for an hour, only to return the next.  And earlier, the XBO had a green arrow, yet fell a spot, while the PS4 has had a red arrow for hours, while the other products have had none or green, yet remained at #8.  I don't think anyone has truly figured out how the Bestsellers truly works.

My guess, at least for the arrows, is they are comparing the sales of a product to its sales in the previous hour or so (I think the updates are actually for a few hours past.)  So, a product may sell a couple of units short of its sales from the previous hour, while the product below it may sell a couple more, but it may not actually be enough for the lower product gain a spot.  That's my theory, anyway.

No, what I said is correct. The arrows are a function of the Movers and Shakers list. Just watch that list and compare it to the arrows on the Bestsellers list.

Arrows track position change from the same hour a day ago and are can be red if it goes up in the hourly or green if it goes down.

Just compare the hourly bestsellers list to the Movers and Shakers list until it clicks for you :). Please let me know if that makes sense for you. If not I will draft a proof for you

I do not know if anyone has mention this but WiiU's on Amazon were at 39 and climbing, 2 days ago? This is a great sign because last year on Amazon the U's were low all year long in the 81-100 range barely getting into the 61-80 range.

Just checked and now it's at 46 still a good😃😝😃😜

Now onto Bayonetta 2. 2 days ago it was listed at saying 47 in stock now 36 that's pretty darn good for a game that everyone is calling a flop😏😏😏😯😯😯

I think most people were calling Bayonetta 2 a flop because Hyrule Warriors had a target of 1 million LTD sales so most assumed Bayonetta would have similar expectations.

Oh wow, I am so sorry xD .  Xbox One's debut has to be the worst in the history of gaming.  They turned it around as fast possible of course but that stigma took a lot to escape.

One of the worst for him lol: it's been a very successful horse in this race; PS4 has just been a stallion is all.

If I only knew what was to come, I wouldn't have made that bet. On the bright side, I only made the bet for the US. Imagine my hopelessness if it was for world wide @_@

The X1 had 2 SKUs hovering around 45 position when it was selling bad. Now Amazon rankings is all relative to how much the items around it are selling. Example being that there could be a lot less new software charting to push it down so it could be selling roughly the same but chart higher. Buf IF 46 does represent the same amount of sales that the X1 was getting when there, you have to remember that it had 2 SKUs there to the WiiUs 1.

Bayonetta 2, are you saying it sold 11 copies in 2 days? If that is correct then that is really really bad from one of the biggest store that covers the whole of the US.

Love seeing the $100 psn card and yearly ps plus card up so high with the other 3. Sony making bank on digital sales compared to ms.

I've always wondered this myself too. Why is it that Sony prepaid cards are doing so well? The option to pay with a credit card online is available to both systems.

Do you think this has anything to do with people not wanting to attach a credit card to their accounts for fear of another hacking incident? I refer to the 2011 incident, and less about more current events that seemed to target employees this time.

I'm pretty sure it's because non-americans using american PSN accounts often buy PSN cards from Amazon.

One thing that is a bit new is the 100 dollar gift card performing so high. My guess is people using it to subscribe to both PS+ and PSNow at the same time. More revenue for Sony.

I would say this and the fact a lot of people still can't put their credit card details into PSN without it asking for a legitimate number. I've been unable to use my credit card for months now and the only way I can put money on PSN is to buy a PSN card.

I don't think anyone 'round here was quite willing to put stakes into Xb one winning the 8th gen worldwide. But there were certainly a few who thought Xb one had a decent shot at winning the generation worldwide. They were delusional of course, but they were around. The global gap would be much less of course, but PS4 would still be the top selling console.
