@ bold- lol, present-day Atari sure can dream.

@italic - That's not very motivating... The games are fun to play, but unless they cost money in the appstore and Atari Fit is free, there would be no point to any of this. 

Atari is doing some weird stuff. First it was calling a mobile RCT game "RCT4mobile" and calling the real RCT4 "RCT:World". Then there was the digital real money gambling thing. Now this...

I bet it's all because they need more money. They probably didn't have alot after separating from Infrogames. This is all just a big plan to get more $$$ and make RCT:World bigger and more polished, right :) ? RIGHT :D !?

I thought Nintendo would do this as one of their Quality of Life services

Nintendo is doing the opposite of what they should be doing lately lol. 

Well they don't plan on releasing QoL products/services until next fiscal year so they may still do something like this.

True but it should've been already out and ready.

Unless it's planned as a companion app to another device. One thing I think Nintendo should do is release a rebranded, standalone Wii Fit.

It seems like Wii Fit is dead based on the Wii U versions sales, but I think there is still a market for such a game, just not when a $300 console is required. An $80-100 device that hooks up to ur TV and offers a whole bunch of fun, simple ways to get in shape could be a hit. Release this app as a companion that let's u keep track of ur progress and offer exercise/diet tips when away from home.

Don't know why companies think fitness is going so mainstream. It's going to become over-saturated and create a burst soon.
