Forums - Sony - PS4 FIFA Woes (FIXED)

Dumb parental question incoming. Sorry, guys.

Got the kids a PS4 for Christmas, and they're delighted with it.

So, I have set up my SEN, PSN, and have done the 14 day PS+ free trial, so that we can go online. Great, so I can play FIFA 15 online, but it's not me that wants to play it.

I set up a sub account (the youth one, between 13 and 17) but when he uses that sub account he can't go online. So I searched around the internet, and discovered that I have to set up an origin account, using same email, etc. and then link the two together.  But he's still getting the following error message:

"In order to access the online features for this title your Sony entertainment network account must be signed in and you must be signed in to EA server".

That sounds crazy, because I never had to set up an origin account for myself, yet I was able to play online. So what is it with the sub accounts? Are they unable to play online at all? Or is there some control I'm missing?

Around the Network

I may be wrong here but isn't it just a case of you activating the PS4 as your account's primary system? Then every other account on the same system will have access to what the main account has

From what I read about it is that you have to use the free subscription on the master account then the sub account should be able to get online.

Thanks for your help. I already had the free subscription on the master account, and I already had the PS4 activated as the primary system. What I didn't know, was that I had to activate the PS4 as the primary system on each of the sub accounts separately.

It's all working now, so the PS4 lives to fight another day!

Glad that it worked out.
