I am not trying to start a fight. I want to know if a pc gamer can run games on ultra at 1080P/60fps and how much his rig costs. So an answer should look something like this:

The majority of PC gamers can't run games on ultra at 1080p and 60fps. Most PC gamers have weaker hardware than PS4 and XB1.

right now I can play MGS:GZ 1080/45-60fps ultra settings. (i'm new to pc gaming) I have a cheap pc. radeon 7970 3gb vram $170, 8 gb ram ddr3 $35, case with motherboard and PSU $140, generic 1T HDD $40, samsung ssd 250 gb $130. 6 core cpu $100. Total: $615, but the ssd is not necessary so, $515.

I think this is about games and not how many frames you can do on your windows background.

Thanks, I play ultra-high settings on Skyrim with super HD textures + immersive lighting mods + the grass field mod.

I have a 6-core 3.5GHz CPU, 16GB high-speed system RAM, and a GTX 760 with 4GB GDDR5 RAM.

My current PC has no problem running 7th gen games at 4k60. At 1080p 8th gen ports run great at high but I dont think I always hit 60 at Ultra (with MSAA). Ive upgradded my PC incrementally since 2008 (it used to be a Pentium 4!) so I cant keep track of the cost, Ive also offset some cost by selling old parts. It definately cost more  than a console but I dont care XD.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970. AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~4.0GHz. 8 GB RAM. 600 watt PSU. 1 3TB, 1 500GB, 1 250GB HDD.



I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime. 

The NX will be a 900p machine

First, I do play at 4k. The only issue with 1080p vs 4k with most modern videocards is how much RAM the card has. 4GB is more than enough to play 4k flawlessly.

Second, Skyrim modded like that is easily current graphically. If you say it isn't, you don't know the first thing about modded gaming.

Third, I just looked through and I actually spent closer to $650 for all that, plus tax.

I know how mods work, I used enough of them for my Skyrim and Oblivion experiences. They're nothing more than window dressing in the grand scheme. They don't change the core of the game. Prettier textures won't do a number on your GPU, that is true. Still, there is a reason why the currently strongest Single GPU on the market has troubles to even get to 30fps@4k with anything that isn't a pushover like Skyrim.

Comparing a modded old game that was already a technical underachievement when it came out with any current game is a joke.

And I thought current games were the topic of this thread.
