Probably safe to say it will hit 1M when it hits 1 year after launch there? Sounds like it's doing reasonably well there. Numbers will probably explode when games like KH3 and FFXV hit the shelves.

By any metric, the PS4 is doing poorly here in Japan. It is tracking well behind the Dreamcast for crying out loud. That system sold 900k in 3 months and that was considered a great disappointment to Sega.
