When do you think Wii U will get its next pricecut? Would 229 or 249 make it sell better? I think April 2015

It would definitely see a boost in sales. Even the Vita enjoyed a good bump for a few weeks but then it went back to normal. Probably too late for both the Vita and Wii U now given their competition is blooming....

I guess you mean increase sales to a proper level. Short term maybe. I think most people who wanted a Wii U already have one. As soon as Zelda hits all of them will have one and the massive dropping will begin that can't be stopped by further price cuts.

Long run no. When The GC dropped to that $99 point. That didn't work. I never really trust price drops to do all that much. There is a buying range that people will do, yeah. I bought the PS3 only when the Slim reduced its price from $600 to $400. I'll never buy a game system at $600, ever. But it also works the other way too. Making your thing feel cheap and pointless.

Price cut worked for Xbox 1 though...

Temporary boost, sure but, unless theu bundle it with say ssb and mk8, it won't be permanent

Sooner the better, they need to get to $199 long before PS4 and Xbox One. WiiU has a place in the market has a secondary console; Super Smash, Mario Kart, Zelda, Mario games & Xenoblade have enough appeal to capture new sales.

With only 8 million WiiU's sold worldwide there still a large untap market, Nintendo must capture the price conscious casual market that are still buying Xbox 360 and PS3.
