Wow that took me like 15mins. I wasn't sure what to do at first then I started to click around and finally some something that sparked my mind. Play around with it and tried to open the door a few times. Then suddenly as I thought I failed again.. BAM the door opens :). I was so happy.. I'm probably going to get this game soon. That was pretty fun for a demo.

That took me about half an hour, I was about to break my computer.

Playing further through the game made me want to break my Wiimote.  I guess I was just not into the challenge, but I didn't think the game was very forgiving.  I enjoy puzzles but not ones I have to guess and check to try to see where the developer wanted me to look.  Meanwhile, if you die in the game (and many things kill you) you have to repeat everything unless you save up money by beating the same puzzles to buy items that let you continue.

I just think there are better games out there for people to hype up the Wii.

back in the old days, if u died u restarted...u didn't get infinite continues and 12343432 savepoints

these days, most of the 'hardcore' games are so very easy because u can just run around spraying bullets and not die

it's good to see a true 'hardcore' game like z&w, where it isn't easy and u do have to redo if u mess up...

Yeah...repeating things over and over sure sounds like the golden age of gaming. To me, Z&W doesn't count on you messing up because it's not always clear what messing up will be until after you've done it. I often times didn't think it was my fault for "dying." Seemed more like I guessed wrong at what the developer wanted me to do. Oh well.

It's not really everything you have to repeat.... just everything for that puzzle. They could be mean and make you have to repeat from the start of the game. Some puzzles I don't care if I die near the start, but some of them seem like the take 15 minutes to setup when you know what you are doing, only to make one little mistake not clicking somewhere fast enough, and boom your dead.  You get unlimitted restart levels, so it's not a big deal.

Hum...perhaps you are right, that I just don't like the genre. That could be. I just didn't have fun with it. If I die I just want to retry whatever it was I was doing. Oh well. Could someone compare Zack and Wiki to some other great puzzle/adventures?

Z&W is more like lots of little self contained puzzles covering serveral screens. The great games like Space Quest series were more wide open to explore, puzzle peices often spread over different areas, sometimes giving less obvious direction of where to go.  Use to have to do part point-n-click and part type in commands before they went all point-n-click, and prior to that it was all text based adventures with just text commands, like "open mailbox" and "read letter".

I prefered the openess of the other great  puzzle/adventures.

Ugh, those sound harsh. I think there's a reason they faded away.
