Then as you nicely put a system with no AAA exclusives and a higher pricetag starts to outsell WW your precious XB 360 with your 5 AAA games. Pretty pathetic so how about you go play your 5 exclusives while the rest of us not living in denial have a normal conversation. |
Er, what? I said I own a Wii. Does the fact that the PS3 is selling more in Europe and Japan change the fact that the 360 has more AAA exclusives, or miraculously fix the PS3's lack of said AAA exclusives? I didn't own an Xbox, and yet I don't see what was so crappy about it. And given games consoles are traditionally judged by their ability to play good games, I struggle to see why you'd describe the current generation console with the highest number of good games crappy?

Why do you constantly decry fanboyism and trolling but then go on too offer praise to such a blatantly trollish post?

I assume your talking about the highlighted trolling parts of Slorg's post? You couldn't possibly be talking about my post, or you would have offered some sort of reasoning as to why you disapprove of my logic. Noone would be silly enough to presume to try and negate my arguments simply by saying the word fanboy now would they?

Well, the HDD bit was definitely pushing it. An insanely expensive proprietary HDD does not trump a standard HDD in every console for developers to rely on, that can also be interchanged easily at will with any other 2.5 in. HDD.
i hope its gonna be like this all the time in 2008

You seem to equate fun games with the highest rated games and well that is where you fail. I could careless if 360 has a bunch of flashy games that play like crap and offer no fun. I love the Wii for the fact is if i'm in the mood i pick up almost any game on it and could have fun playing them, the 360 well i have yet to play a game that i find to be fun constantly. And if you struggle to see that fun does not equate highest rated well then you have bigger problems then just being a delusional 360 fanboy. (Yea so you own a Wii what's your point? You still put it down and made it seem inferior to the 360 and that is why you fail.)

*sigh* And yet I will respond. You can define AAA however you want, but 89% isn't much less AAA than 90%. There are a lot of great exclusives on the PS3 now, and several of the highest selling 360 games are on the PS3 (CoD4, GH3, Oblivion). As previously stated in the post you responded to, Sony's big exclusives are coming on stong and most people realize that now. You may have head of GT5, MGS4, LBP, etc. M$ is one of the leaders in HD downloads because not many peope are doing it. Aren't they behind itunes, netflix, amazon, etc? Regardless, blu-ray is catching on faster than DVD did and most people see the added value that the PS3 provides. An add-on is not going to even that out, either, should M$ give in to paying Sony (and the rest of the blu-ray consortium) royalties. M$ charges $100 for a 120gb hard drive if you screwed up and bought a Core or Arcade and want to play GTA IV and other games that require a hard drive. I'd rather have a smaller HD in a fairly priced console. "Joe Six Pack" is more likely to know that the PS3 has blu-ray now, though. You can't argue which console is more "fun" because that's subjective. Based on review scores the 360 still has the best lineup, but that gap closes every month. They can't afford to drop the price $150 because their games divison needs to make money. Come on. The 360 is in trouble because unlike the PS3 last year when it was trailing, the PS3's future looks much brighter. The lineup is better for PS3 and the system is a much better deal. Not to mention the PS3 is a great piece of hardware and he 360 still has a plague.

I didn't say it did, I just said that your average gamer doesn't know that you can tranfer another HDD in. You might have, and I will when I buy one (all you can get here in Australia is the 40gb), but most people wont be aware of that.
But comeon, was the rest of what I said anywhere near the trollish fanatiscism of Slorg and Auron?

Nope, worse.

At the end of the day you have to make a distinction between what is and isn't AAA. Forza 2 is at 89, but I didn't include that did I. I'm sure the PS3 does have some great exclusives, and I didn't say it doesn't. Personally I thought Uncharted was great. But Auron was saying that the Xbox 360 was "crappy." Where did I say anything like that about the PS3?
There are many reasons to suspect Blu-Ray won't be NEARLY as successful as DVD. When DVD came around it was a revolution, providing ease of storage, massively improved picture quality and it had no competitor. Blu-Ray is an evolution, same size as DVD, less noticable picture quality improvement and two major competitor's in the form of DVD and downloads. Furthermore, it requires an HDTV, wheras DVD had no such requirement.
I already addressed the HDD point with making music.
I agree that 'fun' is subjective, but the simple fact is that the 360 is well-improved year over year with strong exclusives existing, strong exclusives coming and is therefore not, by any reasonable measurement system, crappy.
Fair enough?
