I decided to calculate all VG chartz  weekly numbers  together to make the November month out of it. Cuz i am kinda confused about the news  related to the NPD, they say the PS4 sold 800k vs 1.2 Million Xbox Ones..

NPD are estimates just like VGC and no one on GAF ever releases accurate numbers for two reasons, 1 to protect themselves, and 2 they don't get accurate numbers themselves. Due to the high volume of leaks not completely accurate information is given to those that might leak it.

NPD is USA, NA is USA and Canada(maybe Mexico though) so VGchartz numbers are probably near the truth. Only real numbers are reported shipment numbers.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

VGchartz only mentions USA in all their hadrware sales

NPD is a far more accurate tracker of US sales. Use them over VGC.

Pretty accurate, it's the same numbers. Sure they might not put EXACT numbers a lot of time (except for this month with the Xbox One number), but they always put them in 1K format.

NPD are estimates, but they're an awful lot more accurate than VGC. They have a larger and more focused sample size to work with. Even including the slight rounding from the leakers etc, they're still much closer to the mark.

This assumes the leakers themselves are being honest of course, but there's no evidence to imply they aren't.

Take the shipment numbers, make an average out of it. How close are VGC/NPD numbers to each other. Add half the gap to your average, and you'll come close to what the numbers are.

Or not......just a thought.
