I was never able to finish the third one. I enjoyed the brain teaser puzzles in the first couple but it started getting old by the third. I was hoping they would switch it up a bit when they switched to the 3ds, but business as usual eh? I might check it out someday...

That is an interesting review, especially considering you were extremely harsh on the previous two Layton games.

For clarification, the third Layton game's story sucked balls. The fourth wasn't as bad, but I was mean because you kept insisting how wonderful the Layton stories are.

Also, gergroy definitely has a point that the Layton formula gets old, but this one has such good DLC that I could easily look past that when assessing the whole package.
