It's my favorite along with IX too, but the "Pure SNES" guys always attack IX along with the other PS FF games.

I'll defend IX till the ends of time.

I played #9 back in the day and i must say, i cannot remember this song, but it does sound good.

No way they love it as much as my ring tone. Phoenix Wright - Objection! from the Gyakuten Meets Orchestra soundtrack. Gets all the ladies. Seriously my girlfriend loves it. The first game I ever got her to play was Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on the DS (since she liked murder mystery books I figured it was a natural step). I finished Apollo Justice and loaned it to her and I haven't seen it nor her in days. She's been at home playing. XD

Maybe it's also a matter of "average quality" versus "emblematic song".

FF IX might have the best OST as a whole, but One Winged Angel or Liberi Fatali just give me shivers every times.

The girls actually like nostalgic ring tones like the Mario Bros. theme, most girls don't know WTF Black Mage Village is.

That being said, I don't think any girls could give a shit about what anyone's ring tone’s is =)

Anways, it's a waste of time to debate with FFVII fanboys. I've doing it for a couple of years already. Watching the FFIX vid just makes me want to play the game and buy the soundtrack.
