1988 is a good year setting. The height of post war world Japan and their asset bubble of the 80s which lead to the lost decade of the 90's; an event they have never really recovered from.

Can't wait for this game to come out and localize! Looks so good!!

Yakuza Zero with a new atmosphere. the japanese culture and underground  is so interesting.

PS: In Yakuza 4 give it a summary of all predecessors. Yakuza 4 is soooo great < 3

That's what I love about the Yakuza games on PS3 as they give summaries so you're not completely lost cause when I first played Y3 I sort of forgot what happened in the first 2 lol.  I loved how Yakuza 4 tied back in with the first.  I'm also really excited for when Yakuza 5 gets localized, been dying to play that too!

All I've got to say is "Fuck Sega." I supported Yakuza 3 and 4 by buying them day one only for Sega to intentially kill off the series in the US by localizing Dead Souls. A game most fans didn't even want. It took Sony to get Yakuza 5 released in the west, then Sega acted like they're doing this for the fans. Bullshit. I'm not going to support Yakuza 5 until it's a budget price on a sale.

Yea I spent easily over 100hrs on Yakuza 4 as well.  The game was very addicting.  I didn't mind Yakuza Dead Souls too lol
