So to sum up, Street Fighter V will come the other consoles with the word ultra, super, extra, amazeballs etc added into the title, with an extra character, some sort of roster change etc 6-12 months after it comes to PS4.

This is a great get for Sony, lets not make it more of less than what it is!

No it won't. It will never come to XOne, it was expressly stated in the conference. There is no chance XOne owners will ever play Street Fighter 5 in any shape or form...

Funny how your logic works, I remember you defending the TR "full-exclusivity" corner very strongly, when even less definitive words were spoken about it.

I don't read anything like that from the conference? "In any shape or form?" Where did he say that.

Same as with TR...people fully expect 'definitive/maximum/extreme' bla bla bla editions.

I don't see what is inconsistent about that.

Plenty is inconsistent about the reaction of members of the VGC forums of course. But then, things shift depending on the companies involved. Welcome to the internet

So when it came to TR you were quite unwilling to even consider the possibility that it is timed despite evidence to the contrary but now that it's spelled out for you that it's exclusive forever you want to debate it? What is the difference?

I believe there was a brief period where TR was labelled as published by MS. Aside from that I cannot recall a single moment where I failed to consider the possibility it was timed - actually the contrary.

You may be thinking of another poster.

Although in this day and age, even console-owner publishing is no promise of anything (see ME).

No, I'm pretty sure he is not mistaken, and neither am I or many others that remember you so strongly defending the concept of TR never coming to PS4.

The first time XOne will get to play Street Fighter is whenever it's title is followed by a number 6.

All I said, and all I have ever said (aside from the period outlined above), is that TR is not announced for other PS platforms.

Ninsect pointed out, there appears to be no difference in the two situations. My view now, remains as then.

Though far fewer posters appear upset in this instance, I'll grant you.

well you also have to take into consideration the difference in how each company announced these games.

on one hand you have a company that specificly makes it clear that a timed exlcusive is a timed exclusive when announcing it, as it was evident with hellblade and no mans sky. on the other hand you have a company that uses the term "exclusive "exclusive"" when talking about the games they have a deal on.

the reality is sony announced this as a console exclusive, and said it wasnt gonna change right off the bat. with tomb raider, they said its exlcusive in holiday 2015, then announced they have a duration for the deal, so did square, and said we can expect it to come out later on PS4 and PC.

it isnt about users shifting their opinion as it is more about the situation of both games. can Sf5 be timed exclusive? certainly, but it doesnt seem so. is TR timed exlcusive? all realistic logic points to it being so.

Ultimately this post amounts to "we just don't know." A sentiment I second.

Though I will agree that Microsoft's PR attempts around TR were, like everything they've done pertaining to this generation, appaling.

Also, I was under the impression No Man's Sky was exclusive...

By far fewer...   Would you estimate about half as many? ;)

its timed exclusive, they said it will make its console debue on PS4. i fully expect it on PC and XB1 in the near future after release. i think they even confirmed it will be coming to PC after the PS4 release.

Tamron, I don't think we could begin to quantify just how many.

And it would take a braver man than me to publically speculate as to why

Are we going the Bayonetta 2 road again?

Yep. I won't be surprised we will get hated msg like"I hope it will failed, etc..". I agree with lots of answer from Bayo 2, u want the game go buy the console that goes with it
