Or it's out of stock and selling for higher than MSRP through 3rd parties; which does make it irrelevant, but not for the reason you might be suggesting.

I think the value proposition of the vanilla console, with the current offer, is way, way, way better. As beautiful as the white console is, its novelty is irrelevant, when compared to the stock console deal.

I agree that the value in the white bundle isn't there compared to the 2 free game black bundles, esp since one of those games is Destiny. But any judgements re relevance to the market should be on the basis of ready supply. It seems the white bundle has run its course, finally, and hence its gradual dissapearance from the chart is as much about lack of supply as lack of demand. And if the white bundle is actually selling, albeit in small numbers, above MSRP it means there is still demand there.

In other news:

Wii U has been in the top 100 on the hourlies for a while now. I wonder if it'll break into the monthly chart soon.

Also ACU bundle is now at 17 on the annual chart. Will be fascinating to see how much higher it climbs by the end of the year.

NO, YOU'RE IRRELEVANT! I actually agree with this and hope for a discounted price, so I can snap one up.

Nintendo software is doing really well

Nice to see the PS4 ahead of XB1 for a change. All it takes is some equally good bundles.
X1 is probably still going to win December though. Sony took to long to put these bundles up, just like they waited too long in November.

Yeah, didnt take long for X1 to come back with that gift card though.

I think it's rather telling that it takes a $270 pricepoint for the X1 to barely beat a $400 PS4.

Before anyone tries to jump on it, it's a $70 Amazon credit to spend on anything; you have to DL a PS4 game with that deal.

Not surprising. XBO is on sale. PS4 isn't.

They're both  over a year old.  Why WOULDN'T they be dropping their prices?   Production costs savings alone should be dumping prices unless you're trying to ream every single cent out of your customers.

Consoles will never make much money(with Xbox, if ever at all)...the money will always be in the 100's of millions of games that are sold which funnel licensing fees back into the companies that provide the hardware.

The PS4 Destiny bundle is currently back ordered from Amazon. Its only available from 3rd parties at a higher price thorugh the Amazon website.

So buy it from one of the other million places that DO have it.  Bestbuy.com has loads as I'm sure tons of other sites do.

I don't think "barely" is a good choice of words there. The gap between 1 and 5 can be big for all we know.. Sony tried the 2 free games deal and MS undercut them again. That's how competition works.

Man X1 was beasting #1 on Amazon for the past 5 hours now

Praise the One.
