Forums - Gaming - Exclusive games!

I care about exclusivity when the purpose behind it is to push the hardware to its limits and gives the developer quality time to refine the game as much as possible through focused development process. Other than that, I couldn't care less for exclusivity.

Which is precisely the reason I play mostly exclusive titles. I don't have enough free time to play hundreds of games each generation. I can't afford to waste time and money playing lots of games that were rushed onto three or more formats. I generally buy 10-20 high-quality titles for each platform I own (usually two of the three: Nintendo + the flavor of the month). Those games typically break down into almost entirely exclusives on the Nintendo platform, and about 60/40 exclusives on the Sony or Microsoft system.

During the 6th generation I owned all three consoles, as each of the GCN, PS2, and XB had their own strong roster of exclusives. At that time, my collections were probably 9 to 1 exclusives versus multiplats.
