There is no end if you waiting for the best card, if you have the money actually is fine because ther will be more and more comming for the future Lol

Sure there's an end to waiting ... If you pay some attention to both of the chip designers release cycle, you'll eventually know that a new line of products won't be releasing soon after the recent one.

Is it really around the corner though? Gotten pretty quiet lately. Wouldn't be surprised if we don't see them before Q3 next year.

Does this ring a bell to you ?

I highly doubt that Pirate Islands is going to launch after Q2 considering the yields for TSMC's 20nm node is pretty good and the specs for HBM is finalized to the point where Hynix will be shipping HBM memory modules for Q1 of next year ...

Gonna be interesting. The faster AMD releases, the faster Nvidia has to counter.

lets do some math if this thing is really 6.25x more powerful than the ps4.

PS4, BF4 = 900p, 60 frames

Radeon R9 295x2, BF4 = 900p x2, 60 frames

Clearly over 6 times more powerful LOL, not.
Seriously Eurogamer gets annoying with their PC bias lately, also arent there enough sites reporting and comparing pc graphicscards and cpus, now the only console benchmarking site is making PC stuff instead concentrating on console games, great.
Also AMD crossfire and AMD multicards suffer from micro lags on lower framerate unlike nvidia, i am not a pc gamer anymore so i dont know if they fixed it or if its still worse than nvidia.

I'd rather pass on a wind turbine in my computer.

It's actually quieter than the GTX 980.  But it doesn't have Nvidia on the label so that's impossible right?

Yes, but can it play Tetris?

Actually it is quite a bit louder. But that's not because it's not Nvidia but because tests have shown it.

The stock cooler is already quieter in both desktop and performance tests. The custom designs are a lot quieter than even that.

That's air cooled versus the stock water cooler on the 295X2. As far as I know there aren't any quieter custom designs for it.

Now that my friend is a straight up lie ...

What's more is that you also don't have to deal with liquid cooling either ...

I like computerbase, I'm active in their forums, but their tests for some reason always favor Nvidia.

I think they're quite unbiased. Where do you think I know from that AMD has massively caught up and in parts surpassed Nvidia.

I have thought at multiple occasions to get an AMD card thanks to CB reviews. I just love the zero core feature that Nvidia still hasn't managed to implement in their cards.
