Youkai Watch Domination In Japan! Level 5 has made a franchise thats Bigger than Mario/FF/DQ/MH and Can Rival Pokemon/AC? O.o

Seriously though, if Level 5 doesn't run this to the ground, it can become such a huge phenomenon,if it isnt already. Its the MH of this generation and with the decline overall in gaming in japan, it might be a franchise to hit 5mil sales if this hype keeps on going.

For those of you that dont know, YW is literally taking over japan. Merchandise, advertisements on just about everything, taking Pokemon usual spots now (ex: Mcdonalds has always done pokemon yearly, but for the first time in years, is replaced by YW!)

Anywayzzz Predict Sales, and do you see YW3 becoming much bigger than it already is now?

Makes me wonder why Nintendo hasn't made a partnership with Level-5 yet to make a Wii U exclusive version.

I still have no idea what this game is about.

I'm not positive on what to predict for it's FW, but Level-5 better not screw this franchise up.

Saying that now, I can see the wheels of destruction turning in Level-5's simple heads already.

Yokai watch has legs... really really REALLY long legs. I seriously don't see anything on the 3ds outselling it in japan not even pokemon. I predict that by the end of the 3ds' lifetime, the best seller in japan will be a yokai watch game.

I think its currently XY at about 4.5mil+ but we haven't gotten AC numbers in in a long time, that could possibly be closing in on 5mil.

It has to come to the west, to see what all the fuzz is about. They are probably preparing its arrival pokemon style (anime and merchandising aimed to kids), but I don't see it taking over the west as it did in Japan for two reasons:

-Kids these days prefer more tablets and mobile games. And those who have a 3DS, it's going to be hard to distract them from an already established franchise like Pokemon (it's been running strong in the west for years).

-Kids prefer more western-themed games and more mature games. Youkai Watch is too japanese-themed compared to Pokemon or Skylanders, and it definitively doesn't have the "edgy factor" that CoD or GTA could have in kids.

With that said, I'll probably pick the game when it comes to the west.

God, this along with Pokemon and MH really makes the 3ds an unstoppable force!

That's another mega franchise on 3DS in Japan after Pokemon and Monster Hunter. Hope DQ goes to 3DS as well.
