At this moment (without Japan and NA sales) their are 49.76 million HW units sold and I am pretty sure that with NA and Japan sals we surpass 50 million.

Compared to last gen (PS2+XB+GC+DC) their were around 165 million units sold and maybe it will reach 170-175 million.

When will their be 100 million HW sold?

Wii will beat PS2 sales for sure.

1/4 of the way down, 3/4 to go. Interesting how fast its already moving. People saying that there is still much to be had better start watching the clock as brand doesn't work on impules but long drawn out time periods. If things are unchanging by next year, over 50% of the most likely sales of the combined generation will be sold and by then the winner will almost be predictable.

There were alot more then 165mil game systems sold last gen, the GC sold 21.75mil and the xbox is 24mil, the DC is at 9.13mil, and the PS2 sold its 120mil console in november. I have no doubt the PS2 has sold atleast 123mil now.

wii will surpass 165mil by itself
