Forums - General - Convention held in New York for Global Warming science..... the truth

have you watched Climate of Fear by Glen Beck?
its an excellent movie
and even if there isnt a common view, there is one side who constantly insists the debate is over when evidence arises against global warming on a regular basis

Have you researched into that movie to discover what a raging pile of incorrect stink it is? Here's a general guideline to live by. If an idea's greatest champion is an internet documentary, it's false.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

there are countries that also dissent from the common global warming myth

Now let's see. The scientific academies of these nations agree the climate change is significant to warrant action:

France, Spain, Russia, Brazil, China, Canada, India, Italy, Japan, UK, US. Pretty all of the major countries in the world and I'm pretty sure there's many more. What countries do have that dissent and we'll see if they're more credible?

Edit-by the way, you haven't given any details on the meeting or offer anything of value here other than the fact you just created this thread to say GW is a myth. And yet, you're smarter than the rest of us for no believing in the Global Warming, right?

It's so obvious those countries are in cahoots to further their political gains. Can't you guys see that? Pfft.

It is leading to great new technologies, a gathering of different cultures for one cause, and also a more conscious global look at nature and the world around us. It's a great movement as long as the world doesn't burn up.

Too bad evidence consistently shows that global weather patterns have changed too dramatically in the past century to be accounted for by regular weather fluctuations.

Environmentalists may make up stuff every now and then, but there are a lot more people who say their claims are erroneous because the way things currently are benefits them financially or because they are resistant to progressive political agendas.

What do people gain from lying about global warming? What do people gain from keeping the current policies from changing? There is a lot more to gain from the latter than the former.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

You can look at Global Warming from two angles, from the Science or from the Politics ...

There is lots of good work on both sides of the debate in science, and even more bad work; if you stay up to date on most of the studies, and keep your mind open you should see that there really is no consensus and no need to jump to conclusions.

The Politics is insane ... People who are poorly qualified, uninformed, and are tied to the debate because of political gain from supporting one side of it are the ones who are talking loudest and making policy based on the debate.

I see one person so far in this thread that has bought into the political propaganda and ignored the truths. *cough*...

One would have to be an utter moron to think we had no affect on the environment.

I dont get why so many try to deny it ? so we messed up the environment so what we can stop messing it up and just let it fix it self.
