I mean looking at its sales in Japan, it isn't dropping like a tank and its holding its own at retailers in Japan.

Plus I expect many families who buy a wii u to pick this up.

Finally they are actually advertising this game.

If we're talking just North American sales, I doubt it will reach 500 000 in less than a month. I expect sales in North America to be

Week ending Dec 6: 150 000-200 000
Week ending Dec 13: 50 000-75 000
Week ending Dec 20: 20 000-30 000
Week ending Dec 27: 15 000-25 000

With a total of 235 000-330 000 in North America, and an additional 75 000-100 000 in Japan and the rest of the world. That totals 310 000-430 000 copies sold before the end of the year, with estimated lifetime sales of 800 000-1 100 000 depending on for how many years Nintendo can keep the Wii U afloat.

Worldwide? I think it should be able to do that. It's not selling too great but it didn't drop too much after the first week. Add in Christmas sales and what not and the North American release I think it'll pull 550-600K by Jan 1.
