Looks like they're for sale on Activision's site for $70.  Rip-off for a plastic shell!  I think the game and guitar combo are only $90 - this is crazy.  Does anyone know of any good 3rd party solutions?  I should just return my game and wait for Wii RockBand.

If it's for $70 then that sucks. Wii Rockband, assuming it's around $170, would be worth much more than 2 guitars and Guitar Hero III for $160. There's also the Battle of the Bands coming out, although a pricing structure for that has not been released (to my knowledge).

Nyko guitars are only $45 and look to be pretty good but have not been reviewed yet.

Hmm, then that makes me rethink a few things. I'm now leaning more towards Rock Band, as I had a chance to play the ps3 version this past weekend. I suppose I'll wait for reviews then.

It is just a shell isn't it. The fact that I need my own WiiMote to use the controller is ridiculous!! You would think that it would not cost as much!!!

GH is a great game. I cannot wait to rent GH Aerosmith in July and buy GH4 in November. Band of the Bands and Ultimate Band will also make great rentals. There are 4 other Wii music games coming out this year that I am thinking of renting.

Anyway, good idea on waiting.  If Rock Band on Wii doesn't allow DLC, there is no way I am buying it!
