Starting in the beginning of April, they will be offering the Metal Gear Online Beta with any pre-orders made.

I've already got my money set aside. :)

Yeah. Unfortunately I might have to preorder it here in Austin, but I will be back in my hometown when it releases. I will either try to get a refund once I am for sure in the beta or just absorb the $5 at Gamestop for a chance to play the Beta.

I would reserve it online at Amazon, but they have yet to announce how that is going to work...so I am skeptical

i have a question.

if i pre order it now, do i get some kind of code or something for access to the beta in april? or do i have to pre order it in april.

when you pre order it, do they give you like some code and a cd that stores the beta?

im so confused!

You get a DVD that has the info in the case I believe. Here is what they posted on the Playstation blog.

Q: Is there any special process that consumers must go through to verify their participation in the beta?

A: When the pre-order program begins in April 2008, consumers who pre-order Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will receive the Metal Gear Saga 2.0 DVD, containing a Prologue that recaps the Metal Gear franchise, a 20th Anniversary retrospective, character bios for Big Boss, Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake, and Solid Snake, plus a collection of international trailers of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This pre-order package also contains an insert with a download code and special instructions for accessing the Metal Gear Online beta test when it goes live in late April.
