Its one thing to make a comment that helps put your company and product in a better light, it's another to just put out a comment that obviously most consumers disagree with. I suppose he has the right to say what he wants but how is it good PR when he knows most of the gaming world disagrees with him at the moment.Had this been Phil Spencer, he would have gotten the same treatment, if not worse and deservingly so.

Nintendo still has a lot to offer to consumers in my opinion, they just need to stop worrying about these daily "Wii U is dead" articles and take a few more risks. Xbox is behind and has begun to take a shit ton of risks and obviously it's working. They have a shit ton of games that are exclusive to the Japanese people, games that other markets desperately want to play and instead of bringing those over, they keep re-releasing the same old Mario platformers.

Phil spencer can say this if he wants, thats his job, and unless he starts says the PS4 and Wii U are terrible consoles he doesnt really deserve to cop this kind of treatment. The kind of people who have issues with these kind of statements are the ones that spend too much time on the front lines of the console wars.

I agree Nintendo needs to take a risk or two, maybe even rethink their strategies. However I don't think they can possibly attmept to loss lead like Microsoft is at the moment, they don't have microsoft money.

Well, they have the highest rated first party exclusives this gen, so in terms of which console has the best games that you cannot find anywhere else, Reggie has a point.

You basically named the 100% games available now, and probably 80-90% of the best games WiiU will have in its entire cycle. On PS4 and XBO I just named a few of the games you can play only this year and just a few you'll play in the next years, I don't even named exclusives for PS4 and XBO. I was nice, compassionate with WiiU,  but if I did with PS4/XBO the same as you did with WiiU I could name at least more than 100 games (good and big seller games) you won't play on WiiU ever.

The games I listed that you can't play on WiiU right now are the biggest sellers and most essential to most of the console gamers. Nintendo fans think that the baseline for Nintendo homeconsoles sales is Wii, but the reality is that it was always like WiiU since Playstation came in 1994. N64, GC and WiiU have the same pros and cons. You can play some of the best games ever from Nintendo (and they're just a few...), but nothing more. 

The thing with Nintendo homeconsoles is not the games that you can play, is the games that you can't. Wii was the exception to the rule.

And Fils-Aime is arrogant because he's is the first that is making a comparison with the competition saying they're better. Even if it was true, that's by defintion arrogance. I know is his job to sell their product, but to me, being arrogant is not the best way for Nintendo right now.

Just between the current gen then just for now, yes. Lets see if Reggie will still say the same thing again next year for winter 2015. On paper it sounds like the better value no doubt but that's never the case just like PS3 & 360 or DS and PSP.

About valeu, pstv offers more for less and people don't buy it in droves as well.

He is right. MK8 sold because HD graphics. I can't imagine how much it could have sold if it was as good as MK64.

Wii Sports Cub is simply amazing and should be shown to every Wii owner. Of which more than 30 mio. (!!!) bought Wii Sports Resort and so have the needed WiiMotion+ !
