Not quite.  All they have to do is follow MS's example and say they are approaching 20M, when actual sales are at ~18M.

Easily 15 million at least. Id say with VGC under tracking its already at 13.5 million at least so 1.5 million this month should be well within range. I'm interested to see how it does next year...more big 3rd party games and A LOT of exclusives like Uncharted 4, The Order, Bloodborne, and maybe Wild! PS4 may have an even stronger year next year than it did this year.

Black Friday alone will probably do 1 mil and the month of December over 1 mil so it be somewhere between 15 mil and 16 mil. Wouldn't be surprised if it's over 16 mil.

What I like about Sony's sales announcements is that they are precise and clear. They specify numbers that have been already achieved by selling to end consumers. No confusion.

IMO it's a decent bet that PS4 had hit 14M by the end of last month, this month should be at least 2 million. Next year will be far crazier, GT7 may make it on top of those games you mentioned, we'll also see Ratchet & Clank, Tearaway Unfolded, big indies like Rime, Alienation and there's the potential for more announced 1st party AAA exclusives being announced either at Playstation Experience next month or at the various events throughout next year.

I think it's a safe bet we'll also see a the system have a price cut, which with backing of the games already announced will no doubt cause a huge spike in the sales. There's also the possibility of Morpheus being released, which would make PS4 the only platform with true VR, that will likely also be backed by some exclusives and 3rd party games.

Hellblade may get a 2015 release 1st on PS4, along with No Man's Sky, plus there's also F2P games coming as console exclusives.

 

I wouldn't be shocked if PS4 tops 40M by the end of 2015.

What are the best bundle deals for the console as of now. Also, i havent been seeing as much for the wiiU. Would have dipped for a crazy smash, mario kart and SM3DW bundle
