#42 - Mario Kart 8

Look at how beautiful this game is! Not only that it's tons of fun as well, the racing is top notch, the tracks old and new are a blast, the battle mode... um... let's skip ahead.

This has the potential to move up my list even more but I haven't had the opportunity to play it with friends as much as I want to yet but even with only the single player and the occasional online races Mario Kart 8 delivers on all fronts. The Super Horn RULES!!!

#41 Hint: Comes from a long running series. The title before this one was a minor let down but only because it followed a near perfect game. The title that came after this one was a HUGE letdown.

Metal Gear Solid 3...? I know some people were disappointed by MGS4, so...

Very nice. This made my list too, the only game from 2014 to do so.

I have a feeling MK8 is going to place very high on the top 300 list.

MGS3 made my list earlier and while I was disappointed in MGS4, it was a huge letdown.

#41 - One of the reasons I am glad that I owned a Vita. A great little fun game that showcases all of Vita's capabilities. Had Sony made an effort to make more of these little gems, perhaps I wouldn't have sold the Vita.

Not really looking forward to the PS4 version, I don't see how it can be nearly as good as this.

OK, let's post in the right thread this time. >_>

Hint #43:

In this game you collect and train souls for an upcoming conflict. Even women are drafted, something that clash with the mythology this game is loosely based on.

Valkyrie Profile.

#41 was correctly identified to be The Last Story (well done Trucks!). Whilst it might not be of the same quality as, say, Xenoblade, TLS is still an excellent game in it's own right. Running around the hub city never got old, either.

#40 is a game in a very familiar setting, but played in a very different way.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
