Back from holiday and we're almost to #1 ! Here's latest clues

8. Frog splits the mountain

7. The first release of the Belmonts

6. You're an inspiration for birth control.

5. Amazing sequel to my favorite game of all time. Your pet rabbit didn't get killed in this game.

4. Best competitive multiplayer shooter ever made that contains coding that revolutionized online play and is still the basis of current technology. Don't get beat 1v1 in the Dark Zone.

3. This sometimes interchanges with my #1 and #2 games depending on the year and my genre mood. Playing through this the very first time and seeing the world inverted at what was thought would be the end of the game, was a timeless example of nearly unmatched game design and planning.

Alright, for the Silver trophy;

Game #2

This game features a cutscene titled: "Revelation". A title well deserved, because when I played this game for the first time, this certainly was, a revelation.

FF7?

@ Yours:

#7: the first Castlevania? Unless you mean something 'deeper' with that hint . EDIT: ninjad on this one.

So late once again... here's a ton of hints for you guys:

#8 Hint: The series skipped a generation but the wait was definitely worth it as this game is a masterpiece.
#7 Hint: It's crazy what some people would do for cake.
#6 Hint: Contrary to popular belief, you can prefer this entry over all others even if you've played (and loved) previous entries before.
#5 Hint: After a turn as a side-scroller, this series returns to its roots with great success.
#4 Hint: Spawned terms like Bowazon and Hammerdin
#3 Hint: One of the characters goes from disposable military unit to queen bitch of the universe.
#2 Hint: The addition of online (no matter how primitive) meant I got to play this game with many VGCers
