Game #10

Like the very first game, with this 3rd game in the series the idea was again there for the famous protagonist to have some sort of mount. Unfortunately, it would not be until the game's successor on a new system when they finally finalized the design of this mount, which got famous in it's own right.

Super Mario Bros 3

Obviously, this is correct .

Hint for #10

Family always sticks together especially in this gangster paradise.

GTA San Andreas?

Yes!

#12 - This game revived its franchise after a 8-year dormant spell and it did so by revolutionizing its series.
#11 - A rare case of Nintendo making a sort of "cash in" quick sequel to a very successful game, but this one also turned out special.

12. Metroid Prime

11. Majora's Mask

#10 - What a wonderful, exciting game. Basically, this game is everything that Destiny failed to achieve. Characters, humor, quests, upgrades, story, gameplay, expansions... There are rumors it is getting remastered for PS4, I sure hope that's true, I'd love to play it again...

No one? C'mon guys! :P

#11: This game was the first one of the franchise to be localized. It features three main characters, one which you play as during the tutorial/prologue, and then the second one, on which the other two (among other less important characters too) follow. Beating the game grants you an extra "Hard Mode", on which then the game finally focus on that third protagonist, and gives his perspective of things during the story of the second protagonist.

SECOND HINT:

It was the top-selling game of the franchise until the new installment on the 3DS dethroned it.

#10: This last game on what was supposed to be a trilogy (more games released afterwards) gave us the chance to play for the first time as the antagonist and friend of the main character on previous entries, on a moment on which the main character was sick and unable to go on for the moment being.

SECOND HINT:

This game proved that people can be fooled by using cardboard and hair gel in a very specific way.

I can tell it's some Fire Emblem game, but I know nothing about that franchise, therefore I can't guess. Unless I look it up on VGC, but that would be cheating.

You are correct, though. It's Fire Emblem, just like that, as it didn't came with the subtitle when localized (Fans later would call it Blazing Swords, to differenciate it from Sacred Stones).

Hint repost time! (I really want to get these off my back before the dark days come)

#10 - This tiny game was very innovative and well received, and it got a full blown sequel a few years later.
Extra hint - Don't expect cake. (I just gave it away but whatever)

#8 - The only good title in an otherwise average series (IMO at least), and it seems like it's finally getting another good game next year, which is the first one in this franchise after a long dormant spell.
Extra hint - however, there's a lot of people very skeptical on this new entry next year.

#10 is Portal, though man, that first hint leaves too much room xD

#8 is... Star Fox Adventures (?)

@bold
oh GOD no. PLEASE. My eyes hurt from reading that name.
But you got the franchise right of course.

Mmmm...I'm not versed on Star Fox. If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say N64 version.

Yes.

Yay!

lol, mZuzek, I thought about Star Fox 64 and Portal yesterday, but Portal isn't really "tiny" for me and we don't know enough about the Wii U Star Fox to call it "good" already.
