   Year: 2002

To me the best 'scary game' out there, even though it's officially not in the horror genre. Metroid Fusion puts the player inside an abandoned space-station, where the mysterious X Parasites roam free. It's a story pretty much 1-on-1 copied from the movie 'Alien', when the X Parasite can take a host and copy it's DNA. This happens to protagonist Samus, and the evil soulless copy SA-X is born.

It is done well though, and the deserted space station is quite creepy. The knowledge that the extremely powerful SA-X can turn up around any corner continually keeps you on your toes. The game offers a perfect amount of challenge as well, as some parts can get genuinly difficult. It's quite linear compared to other games in the franchise, but this game does it right and offers a perfect balance between gameplay and story-telling.

Game #23

There's many mixed feelings about this game within this series' fan-base. Some think it's awesome, some think it's the black sheep (while there's already another game that could claim that title) of the franchise. One thing's for sure, it certainly was a unique entry.

Nope

I've purposely made this a vague clue, it's very easy to give it away otherwise. When I said 'unique', I don't mean it so strongly, it's still like the other games, but rather it stands out.

I am falling a bit behind but here's a hint for #24.

Not quite the game that fans really wanted at first.

DKC Tropical Freeze?

The Wind Waker?

Hmm, I'm also falling behind. Here's my hints:

#25 (repost): it's the closing chapter of a great platform trilogy.
#25 (extra hint): a previous title in this franchise already appeared on my list.
#24: this game, often mistaken for a remake, actually hinted at an upcoming remake.

You got it!

What's up dudes?! New clues pretty easy this time:

26. The best entry in the series that they showed the new footage of this past weekend.

25. Game that I absolutely loved but still feel it is way overrated. Will be many people's #1 game and many people's favorite game from last gen.

24. Iconic Nintendo figure in what is the 2nd best game for the N64. It was a launch title.
