29. Mario Kart 8: The second new game on my list, ranks in higher than Double Dash, lower than Wii or 64. Wii wins out because it's online was more or less the same as 8's (though with a different VR scoring system), and Wii did it first, so the joy of playing a non-broken Mario Kart online gets more points. 8, however, refines the formula to a science and is a very pretty game to boot.

28 hasn't had a *new* game since 2007, and might have a new game next year. This entry is widely-regarded as the best, though some hold nostalgia for the original instead. Features a blue bird and a pink cat (among others).
