Earthbound comes to mind for some reason...

We are too few my friend.
I'll let you in on a secret, there's two Total War games on my list this year, Empire: Total War and one a bit further up. I have been replaying Empire quite a lot this year, which made me realize it deserves to be mentioned at least once in these lists of mine .
#37 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Naughty Dog, 2007) - PS3
When I first got my PS3, I only had one game: GTA IV. So I went to the PSN and downloaded some demos. And one of the first I downloaded was this one, and man oh man, even the DEMO was enough to convince me that, yes, I was playing a next-generation console. Eventually, I bought the game, and I nearly beat it in a single sitting. The action was top-notch, the characters were incredibly charismatic, the plot was entertaining, and there's this section by the end of the game, that reminds me of survival horror games. It's in the dark, you can barely see shit, it's incredibly tense and kept me on the edge of my seat. Loved that section. The only reason why it's not higher on the list, is because some sections just feel like there are bad guys coming from EVERYWHERE... and there's some trial and error involved here.
#36: the tenth game? Already? Or, no, is it...?
