Forums - Sales Discussion - Amazon US Monthly bestsellers tracking thread November - Updated 29/11 - GTAV bundle in at 17

the xbox crowd have gone very quiet! i don't get it because i'm pretty sure it will win NPD. Must be a bit nervy being so far ahead for 3 weeks and then to be reeled almost right back in. But on't worry you'll be that lucky fish that just about got away :P

EDIT: The latest updates (note, these are from like 6 hours ago so they're before the gta 5 PS4 went out of stock)

#1 PS4

#3 X1 AC Unity

#40 PS4 LBP3

#52 PS4 Destiny

#79 PS4

Amazingly the PS4 on it's own is rising and that's when the main PS4 bundle was still in stock. It will keep going up along with the other bundles until Dec 2nd when the GTA 5 bundle is back in stock.

One thing is for sure, Sony needs a cheaper bundle for Christmas. Maybe LBP3.

Also, anyone know what happened to the standalone white PS4 which was supposed to be released this year? I can see that moving a couple hundred thousand.

Hourly charts just updated.

X1 AC bundle moved back up to #2. Despite having sold out on Amazon, the GTA V/TLOU PS4 bundle is still #1. LBP 3 bundle is at #39, Destiny bundle at #53, and standalone PS4 at #78. The price of the Destiny bundle went down from $439 to $399 so it might rise up the top sellers list.

I don't know if it's real or not but if it is, then it look like X1 won black friday?

I saw that, unsure of their methodology as it seems they don't count online sales in their data (given the lack of Amazon), the 53% to 31% just seems awfully far apart to include online.  But, who knows, maybe Microsoft knocked this one out of the park.

I mean that could be true...

But the thing that pops out at me the most is the XB360 at 9% and PS3 at 1%.  Seems a bit strange to me...

They are probably right for the winners but not the share, check last year.

oh god info scout again? they get people who have their app to take photos of receipts and they add things up. i believe last year all of the systems sold on their tally was around 1500... thats all put together..

edit:  heck that 1500 number might even include games

Their methodology seems very flawed.  For proof, just look at their findings for 2013.  The PS4 was greatly held back because of lack of shipments.  In fact, given the PR that it sold 1M the week before, we know it only sold ~100K on BF.  According to them, the PS3 only sold ~100K that week, too.  The PS3 sold ~420K for the whole of Nov.  Are we really going to believe that the PS3 only sold 1/4th of its Nov sales on Black Friday week?  Highly doubt it.  Most likely it sold 1/2 of its sales that week.

Funny to see the standalone PS4 so high because of all the people buying the consoles for kids and not letting them play GTA5, but totally cool with the Assassin's Creed games.
