Forums - PC Discussion - Looking to get a GTX 970, which to get?

Go MSI, without contest. The price is maybe 20$ more but they're worth it. Never buy low or middle price when buying pc stuff.

I need help deciding what to get.

Been hearing a lot about coil whine, EVGA's mess up, etc.

Are either of these things, plus anything I may have missed concerning?

Absolutely needs to be shorter than 11 inches or about 27.94 cm.

I bought the MSI Twin Frozr.  Excellent card and have heard no coil whine so far!

What 970 do you have?

Reference Gainward 970, stock everthing. I suspect temps cause GPUZ lists "thrm" as a performance cap reason really during most of the bench. I've also read that Intel CPUs do better in the bench.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I got a slight boost after disabling Avast antivirus. FPS 52.8, Score: 2211, Min: 22.5, Max: 105.2. Since everything is running at stock I guess that's OK.
