For the last 7 years I have played CoD online, where I can see the online leaderboards, and see only a fraction of the people buying it play it online. Most do not.

Don't forget the game has lots of co-op and couch MP options. You get more bang for your buck with CoD than most shooters even if you never set foot online.

And apparently it's not a rock solid 60 fps in the game, which is the issue. But oh well like I said, maybe they fix in a patch. A shame otherwise. Nothing more to say on the matter as it doesn't affect me.

Simple. Optimization. And this is something that I have been saying. Any game that has the lead platform being the XB1 will suffer hampered performance on the PS4> Cause if the devs do what I would do in a situation like that, they would just focus all their efforts on getting the XB1 version where they need it to be knowing that with minimal work and effort they could have the game running on the PS4 either equally or better better but less consistent. This should be expected going forward unless the PS4 can aquire a lead so vast that by default it becomes the lead platform for all multiplats.

XB1 MP Locked 1360x1080 = 60fps locked

That says to me MP is more demanding than SP...

PS4 SP Locked 1080p = Dips
PS4 MP Locked 1080p = 60fps locked 

Unless there is add graphical features on PS4 SP...

That is very weird. The only logical thing to say would be that the PS4 version is being gimped on purpose??? lol...

But I will still go with less optimization. That sounds more reasonable.

PS. It is a bit weird the PS4 version drop in SP because if you take the Xbone version they needed to lock to the minimum resolution to maintain 60fps but the SP runs 60fps doing dynamic resolution... that means MP is more demanding and PS4 is rock solid in MP.

Maybe there are some graphical difference in PS's SP?

No conspirator not... just looks weird that the MP where they needed to go with minimum resolution on Xbone runs rock solid on PS4 and the SP not.

Optimization or bug.

It is about even... 1.4m pixels... I guess 1360x1080 have only 28k more.

XB1 SP Dynamic  900p-1080p = 60fps locked : are we sure it's locked ? I don't believe. I wanna wait for a more accurate source.

that doesnt make any sense
why should sp more demanding than mp, when mp on ps4 is solid, but sp has dips?

 

1360*1080p/60 fps is maybe only the minimum to achive that lock on xb1.
1500*1080 /60 would work too for rock solid fps, but sucks to upscale.
1920*1080/60 would be to much for locked framerates ofc.
dynamic resolution would suck in mp

so they choose 1360*1080,

 

(the last part is only my guess, to expalin ur converns about sp vs mp demand)
