I think MS is in a "damned id you do, damned if you don't" situation with regards to the motion sensing.

If they do incorporate it into their system and games the Nintendo fanboys will lambast them for jumping on the bandwagon, but if they don't they will be forever criticized as being "last gen" in terms of gameplay.

I think we should learn from the example of games like Lair, and not force the control scheme into situations where it doesn't work well. I'm all for Wii Sports, but I can't imagine myself having fun with the motion sensing anywhere else.

Fanboys will always criticize, so clearly they shouldn't worry about that. A real concern would be whether tacking on motion controls at this point would give them any competitive advantage or not.

", but will mo-sensing controllers be the standard for console generation 8? "

I don't know. This looks like a complete copy of the SIXAXIS. And to be honest, although it is fun in some games (flying in Ratchet, shooting in Heavenly Sword) motion sensing in the PS3 is more or less a gimmick and sometimes even annoying. So this is at best a way to get even with the PS3. I am really interested to see what Microsoft and Sony have in mind regarding the controller for XBOX 720 or PS4. The moment one of the Three Nintendo/Microsoft/SONY creates a controller with the accuracy of the mouse without the need of a pad he will have my money. Even the Wii is far away from this. They can keep motion sensing for all I care , give me accuracy.

Wii's IR pointing is perfectly accurate, actually more accurate than the display resolution the Wii uses.

Personally I like motion sensing like it's for example implemented in Ratchet & Clank: TOD, IMO it also suits simple games like Super Ruba Dub well. I really don't hate this feature like some others do, but then again I loved the Wii-mote concept when everyone else seemed to think the console would fail.

PS3 vs 360 sales

that would be a waste.

What about the price? The damn controller is expensive enough at 50 bucks, motion sensing will not make it easier.

Won't happen, maybe next gen.

Nintendo still doomed?

It doesn't, you are the one making a big deal about what I said. All I am saying it, Sony wouldn't talk bad about motionsensor because they have it in their own controller since launch.

because they saw nintendo do it, when they first revealed the revolution

Obviously you misread what he wrote, that the SIXAXIS launched a few days earlier than the Wiimote.
Now you're just trying to change the subject.

I don't think that it would give them any competitive advantage.  Critics didn't exactly rave about the sixaxis, and I ahve yet to hear about a PS3 game that truly uses it well.
