For some pictures, the downgrade isn't that noticeable, but the first and second pics.... Night and day

Really tho, that interior shot, look at the Before image of the floor, that detail and quality would make you question if you were looking at a real photo of a tiled floor, then the real screen shot floor is such a flat awful texture of a carpet that stands out a mile as not in any way realistic.

What's so bad about the interior ? The in game scene isn't absent of glossy local reflections either ...

Sure the floor maybe obscured but what exactly looks so bad about the carpets ?

Oh really.

Disappointing Ubi.

Cant post the pics. Please check the site. You can see the difference.

That upper left corner of the "interior" after shot... jesus it looks like GTA3 interior quality.

Why dont they get sued? I dont care how it looks. But showing one thing and later giving different thing is fraud.

Would be fairly sure unless the original footage actually said "in game footage" during the trailer and not something along the lines of "concept art"/"Work in progress" which you almost certainly would have found somewhere in tiny print in the original trailer then there is no fraud to be had here. you get this everywhere and it's been going on in gaming for years and years.

You are partially right. But the first pic speaks for itself. Her face "pimples" / textures are absent in the latest build. Lol. Plus there are "few" people in the streets comapred to the trailer.

What about the "pimples" being absent in the latest build ? If Ubisoft so badly wanted to keep the original look they could just update the texture ... What exactly was "downgraded" here ?

Under the "multiple characters" picture both builds show over 20 characters so what your point there ?

Yeah. I know. Last gen I stopped gaming for a few years for my University. That time I was thinking all PS3 games will look like killzone 2 CGI. When I saw MGS 4 in 2008; which was most impressive console game I was shocked with the poor graphics (I was out of gaming news for a few years). And this gen started with watch dogs 2012. For me graphics is secondary but cheating like these is really unacceptable. I know I am being cheated and yet I keep believing them.

*snip*

I'm only saying, if people going to make a comparison then the scenes had best be comparable ...

They are called bullshots for a reason :p. Though just going from the screenshots posted there the game doesn't look impressive at all. AC4 was better looking. Would check the video but my hype for Unity is so low that I can't justify the effort to actually watch the video.

tbh there are differences but in comparison to the bullshots from Forza/Gran Turismo no game will ever ever compete with them :D

@mr slob it just looks completely flat, (the carpet) even the points where light beams are shining on what should be ripples up from it the light is not being effected by the bumps on it, breaks the illusion that you aren't looking at the super realistic floor seen in the before shot, that is almost lifelike.
