but i never heard anyone said this: gimme 125 bucks for my old console (still worth 150)  is a better deal, than getting 50 for free.

Only console warrior here is you friend. See I prefer facts and reality to delusion. Which is what your entire world view is based on which is why you are one of very few who actually believe it's possible.

You conveniently ignore the last few months when both consoles were the same price. Do you seriously forget the bundles where Xb1 basically gave users $75 and it didn't help. So what makes you think a mere $50 means anything? Oh right you also said in those months that Xb1 would win when they didn't. It's no different now. Ya got a great track record so far tho I gotta say. You are as good as patcher.

PS4 will outsell XB1 regardless of the price drop, it's the system most in demand.
Microsoft can't really do anything this year, especially with little to back this price drop up.

The masses can see that Microsoft have already dropped the price from $499 with kinect, now to $349 without kinect and given the frequency of their price drops when the system continues to sell as it has done they can just wait until it gets to a cheaper price, when more actual exclusives, that stay exclusive come to the system (which are few and far between).

Microsoft can only carry on doing what they've been doing, but develop 1st party studios, more games that stay exclusive, quit with the anti-consumer nonsense of buying multiplats like Rise of the Tomb Raider, wait to announce their next price drop alongside a variety of exclusive releases and also release a version of the system with a slimmer and better looking design that's comparable or more compact in stature than PS4.

They should have a November 2014 event to announce purely 1st party games (no external studios), exciting new franchises, some older but well loved franchises, shown with actual gameplay, don't do the downgrading of graphics like they have been, basically show that they can be trusted, rather than continuing to constantly change their plans and confuse their intended customer base.
