I love the new Astons but they're bought by too many footballers and people like that that it gives you a certain impression about the person who is driving it. For example, I imagine most Porsche drivers to be tossers because of all the yuppies who desire Porsches.

You're right about that one. Although it's not that simple, since horsepowers are used only in promotionial purposes. If VW would drop the power of the engine to 735 kW, it would have less than 1000 hp (although it would still be rounded to 1000), but the point is, that you can't have an engine, that would have 1000 hp, which wouldn't be under the 1000. About the Aston, it's too bad that Ford has pretty much spoiled the whole Aston-Martin brand. Too bad it's just common crappy Ford these days. @ topic (sorta): You seem to have posted a few cars i wouldn't evsn take for free.

You are so right. It was my dad's only car until he sold it a few years ago (see picture below), going on holidays in it was everytime a piece of adventure. If I am to get a vintage car, it will be the one

Yes that was some amazing car, first non-American car to get the "best car of the year" award in the USA in 1972, and, as the DS, it had so many technical breakthrough...

We have a museum of modern art here in Munich, and the DS (La Déesse) is one of the few cars in this exhibition. There's no doubt that she deserves to be shown to the world - she's an outstanding beauty and her name is as sophisticated as her looks.
