It released in Japan 3 months ago when XB1 wasn't released; PS4 was in a slump and WiiU was running on Mario Kart fumes. PS3 was the best choice (especially since it's the last part in a trilogy that all released on PS3).
It'll come to Vita in 2016, probably, if you want a current gen version.

I refuse to touch my PS3 anymore. There is virtually no reason to not just port these games to PS4. It's not like it's hard to port.

I don't know why you refuse to play at your ps3, you can sell it then if you don't want to play it anymore.
This game is on ps3 because most of the userbase is still on ps3, we will need to wait the next one to begin a new story on ps4.

i agree with this, afterall this arc that started on PS3 should end on PS3, aside from that i dont know why vivster wouldnt use his PS3 anymore i in fact plan to be using it a lot this next year since there are still games coming out for it that i want to play and i also want to play some exclusives and multiplats that i missed during the years.
OT: this are great news since this series seems to be popular (well at least popular for a niche tittle), but at the same time its kind of expected, afterall i think every Atelier game has been localized.
