what i don't understand why dose everyone focus on all the bad games instead of the great games out now. or either coming out in the future just ignore the shovelware in focus on all the great games.

NinjaBread man is only $30.  (or are you complaining it's the same price as the PS2 version?).  (Of course it's probably over priced at anything over $19, but still wouldn't normally consider $30 full price...)

 actually, I'm complain the game actually existed in the first place. Much less making people pay for it.

Would you pay 19 bucks for NinjaBread man? I was under the impression that even free, it's too much for me. 

 I own the game.  It is worth the price.

This topic has nothing to do with shovelware. It has to do with hastily put together ports from other systems. It's another legitimate concern for some people who own both a Wii and a PS2/Xbox. It doesn't make them bad games, or shovelware, but some of us have already played games like RE4, Okami, RE0, Bully, Rygar(not me personally) and House of the Dead 3, and aren't too excited to see those being some of the highest quality third party support for the Wii at the moment.

This doesn't take anything away from the quality of any of these titles, but I already own Okami and RE4 for other platforms, and have previously owned House of the Dead 3, Bully and RE0, and can't find justification paying again for something i've already played through. For those of you that missed out on these games the first time obviously don't have this issue with them. I just feel there are too many great new titles coming out for various platforms for me to spend money and time retreading over RE4, and it's one of my top 10 favorite games to boot.

rygar is an update, not a new game. and it's a sleight of hand because they gave the game a new title even though it's not really a new game. here is a link to an interview with the games creator. you will see it's the same game with a couple new enemies and some slightly updated graphics.

i don't know why people continue to compare the ps2 to the wii, the 2 systems have very little in common. the quality games to shovelware ratio was way better for the ps2 then it is for wii (as someone who owns and follows both systems). And if i had the choice, i would rather have original quality games, not bs ports that should retail for $10.

 Of course, lots of Wii gamers never owned a PS2/Xbox.  Also, it is good for everyone because some of these games have much better controls.  If you don't want to buy, you can always rent it or buy it used from Gamestop and return for store credit.

I bought Ghost Squad (and am glad I did) but am excited to rent House of the Dead 2/3 because I never played them.  Since I get a free rental a month with my Blockbuster plan, this is great news.  I am playing both Star Wars Lego games from GC combined with better controls on my Wii right now and loving it.

Let's hope the trend continue! 

maybe i should restate the purpose of this post. im not saying all ports are bad, but some are very misleading. like with RE:4 for the wii. it was a game the came out in 2004 for the GC. capcom made no attempt to cover up that the wii version was more or less a port of a 2 year old game. i have no problem with that. same with okami.

but then some of the games that come out are just shameless. Among those are are the titles listed in my original post (for the reasons given).

I don't think any port to Wii is nearly as bad as Prince of Persia: Revelations for PSP ended up being. On top of trying to hide the fact that it was a shoddy port of the worst of the PS2 trilogy, it also tried to hide the fact that it's the exact same game by adding one additional (and tacked-on-feeling) puzze chamber.

The worst port on the wii would have to be Mario Party 8, it is the same as the GC one with wii controls tacked on at the last second. From what i heard most of the mini games are crap and you cannot choose to play the mini games at the start menu or anything like that.
