It is not the name that is written (Mohammed) "the Messenger,... , whom they find written " meaning the messenger is referred to in those books. As for the references themselves, they are not a set in stone (as they shouldn't be) they are only references. Each group try to apply their beliefs on the subject. A word of advice, if you want to "find" something, you should start with the main subjects... with the basics.

Allah is ready to send birds to protect the Kaaba. Why doesn't he send birds with food to the starving people? 

I made the same mistake.  Look for chapter 7 (al-A'raf or The Elevations) then verse 157.  Hope this helps !!

Hebrew Text: "Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem."

The name is there: Muhammadim

However, see how your folks translated his name: "altogether lovely" is other copies of the bible....

it always amuses me to see christians bashing islam because it ultimately shows that they have a limited understanding of their own religion and its parallels to other religions

The short anwser for your question is... Allah love us all... and our life is the test for hereafter. Thats the reason there is hardship in our life.

Regarding Kaabah.. I think u may refer to 1 occasion, where Abharahah army come to destroy the Kaabah and the Allah protect the Kaabah by devine intervention. Thats actually special occasion where it become the "sign" for the birth of Muhammad. Kaabah is destroyed multiple time before and after the birth of muhammad in the flood. Even in Quran state the major destruction of Kaabah (conquered) at the end of the world, when the Dajjal coming. So, if u think Allah protect Kaabah and make Kaabah invulnerable, then you simply misunderstand.

Devine intervention. Why isn't happening now?

The world could use some help. 

So, god sent birds to annihilate an army to tell people that Muhammad was coming? Why was that needed? 

Allah should interfere more If he/she can interfere. You believe he can. But you don't have an explanation to why he/she doesn't.

It's the verse that Nintentacle wanted an answer to so I googled it and that's what I found.  I personally disagree with the explanation but I respect what they feel is true.

What are the basics ? 

I started reading the Quran and I had to stop after a few pages. It's hard to believe that Allah is "the most merciful the most gracious" when we live in a world where animals eat weaker animals to survive.

I agree with you and I feel that everyone should be respectful of everyone's religion, whether it be the same as your own or not.
