Forums - General - No country for old men or There will be blood? Which should I see?

I plan on seeing one of them this afternoon, but I can't decide which one to go see. I plan on seeing them both eventually, but only time for one today. They both look incredible and got tons of praise both critically and from the general public. Which would you recomend?

Well, No Country completely owned the awards. I heard it was really really good, but somewhat violent. If you dont mind the violence, Im sure you can see its a great movie.

After all, I have yet to see either in full. But I bet both are great movies.

I haven't yet seen No Country For Old Men, but unless you're a huge P.T. Anderson fan and are desperate to see his latest film (like me), I wouldn't choose There Will Be Blood. Go hang out with the Coen brothers.

Hates Nomura.

I thought they were the same movie. One was Blu-Ray and the other HD-DVD. Thanks for the heads up.

Hmm, so far I'm hearing No Country for old men. Are the milkshake fans just yet to post?

No Country. It was flawed, but not nearly as flawed as There Will Be Blood. I love P. T. Anderson, but what was he thinking?

^^ I wasn't particularly blown away by TWBB or NCFOM, but I'd be interested to know what the so-called "flaws" were.

Both were excellent films, and both are deserving of a watch, but NCFOM would be my pick.

No Country is a much better movie. Like, by far.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
