With a new $99 android gaming box every week, the vita and vita tv would benefit from being an android box for their extensive range of apps and smaller games. The 99 dollar vita TV would therefore be a hotter buy than the Nexus Player and Fire TV and Ouya and all them, cause it has vita's dedicated gaming experience and androids suite, with all games(?) playable on arguably the best controller, the dualshock 4.

A lot of people have, or will have a dualshock 4 (or 3) so this could be killer for sony. They wont need to bring more TV apps to vita, cause they can just get the tv-optimised versions from android!

Well... wouldnt that increase the cost of the hardware cause then, they would have to increase the internal memory size which probably not be available the the current vita owners cause they dont have enough internal memory so in order to have that, they would have to do it only on the new vitas? You could say put it on the memory card but the memory card prices are high as it is so I doubt the vita owners want their precious space going to and android OS...

But even if thats not the case... Most people have android phones which can play games and use android apps just as easily as the vita can so its like eh? If you mean vita TV, then maybe

I would buy a Vita TV with android. Bought an Amazon Fire TV for 50bucks that only allows me to play NES to PSP games. Would pay additional 50 bucks to play original Vita cartridges.

BUT! If you force me to buy stupid Sony memory cards NO THANKS
