Seems like a win to me.. not to mention critics were harsh on it. Digital sales for Vita are always huge and most of all, consistent. That's why Sony keeps porting games from Japan.

The novels too. The universe is interesting, especially now that every mmo has only two factions. The only good chapter was also cut off the animu. Also geopolitical stuff was almost ignored in animu. And yes volume 7 is an ALO sidestory and is loved by the LN community.

Also the anime was trash, not just ALO. Accel world had a better adaptation while being worse novels too. I just wished sunrise adapted SAO. They wouldn't have butchered sachi in half an episode and Aria of the starless night in one =/
