Forums - Gaming - Does Left Behind Give Us Any Clues To The Structure Of Thief's End?

SPOILERS AHEAD:

I remember when I first heard about Left Behind, I wondered how they were going to handle it. I knew there wasn't going to be any clickers because Ellie met clickers for the first time whilst with Joel, and I knew Ellie wouldn't shoot anyone because she already said in the TLOU that she'd only ever shot rats with a BB Gun. I found this interesting to consider. How were they going to make it exciting? It turned out they used a tried and tested method but gave it more importance than it's normal story telling mechanic. We got to see the younger, more naive Ellie and the older, more battle hardened Ellie. It worked perfectly.

I've seen a couple of conflicting statements from Naughty Dog on Thief's End and this got me thinking. On one hand they have said it's a grittier Drake and on the other they've said not to worry, it will still be the high octane 'fun' we're used to seeing in Uncharted games. So how can they square the two? I'm sure you are with me already.

I think A Thief's End will use flashbacks to tell two stories. We'll play the flamboyant, wise cracking Drake that we know but we'll also play the hardened more serious Drake that killing so many people would inevitably lead to. This not only offers ND a way of justifying the change in character and not disappointing fans in the process but it also offers them plenty of opportunities for cliffhanger moments.

The PS5 Exists.

Around the Network

Agreed since the premise floats around betrayal. Uncharted 3 left a lot of questions about Drake so an effective way to convey them would be through flashbacks.

And i'm just here waiting for an Uncharted collection.
