You don't even want to compete on this topic. I did an embryology subject at university, got a book out from the library and spent the next 3-4 days on the verge of vomiting but nonetheless unable to look away. Scary stuff. Apologise to anyone expecting at the moment, in reality this stuff RARELY happens.

The harlequin baby was real, but it's not a monster and it's shameful to call it such, especially since some people with this disorder DO survive.

As for the frog baby, I'd need to see more evidence before believing that's real. The eyes just don't look right.

 As you said these are just very misfortunate little kids. Trust me, the pick is real.  I am a former medical doctor, and you don't ever in your life actually want to see this, it is terrible.  Strangely Google images doesn't get many hits for "Anencephy", but then again not surprisingly, no one over the age of 20 i.e. potential parents, want to see such pics.

Actually finding humor in things that terrify us is a natural human reaction. You just want to seem politically correct.
