There will be a surprise or two, but I'm not getting my hopes up for any megatons, and why Vegas?

I dont know why i have a feeling Insomniac will announce a new IP along with Ratchet & Clank remaster, coz by that time SO will be out, and I assume MS could have had them under obligation of not announcing anything for competing platform untill their game was out.

Pretty much all 1st party studios are known to be working on something for PS4, at least 5 internal studios are yet to announce anything for the platform, including 1)Santa Monica, 2)Guerrilla Cambridge, 3)London (not including Singstar), 4)Firesprite, 5)Bend.
As most know 6)Media Molecule has announced they're working on a new IP, 7)Guerrilla Games has their new IP (presumably the open world Action RPG Horizon, with mecha dinosaurs), 8)Naughty Dog are working on something besides Uncharted 4. Polyphony Digital has of course already stated that they're working on a Gran Turismo for PS4, but they have also mentioned about having something else in development.
Now to speculate London are a very big studio, so could have multiple games in the works, same goes for Guerrilla Games and Santa Monica.
Japan are the biggest studio Sony has internally, so they likely have more than a couple of games in development for PS4, TLG has likely moved to PS4 (I think the game is still in the works, otherwise Sony would have said it's a dead project), from PS3. SCEJ could have some nice surprises in the works.
If people should have learned anything from the conferences Sony have heald this year, it's that they have been very good at partnering up with external teams, so I wouldn't be shocked if there are a lot of those kinds of partnerships happening behinds the scenes, like Wild Sheep Studios or Tequilla Works.
Hopefully Sony will get a new IP from Platinum Games. Quantic Dream obviously have their new IP in the works for PS4.
All in all I wouldn't be shocked if Sony has at least a few dozen games in development from 1st, 2nd and 3rd party, with more studios signing on all the time.
Now that PS4 has momentum Sony likely has a lot of interest from various publishers, even if they were to announce half a dozen games at this event in December I doubt they'd be short on games to show off at each event next year.
I expect more big and unique independent dev projects, lots of variety and quality that Playstation is always known for.

Why not make it on holiday so I could attend fucking SONY? -,- Make it 27th December, so I can go to Vegas, Watch Britney's Piece of Me Concert and play PlayStation
The Bitch is back! And better then ever! #BritneyReturns

SONY Bring them BACK for PS4 and VITA!
Looks like Tidux might turn out to be right. Well, a dead clock is right twice a day so I guess he had to get lucky at some point.
If even one new game is announced I'll be happy. I'm hoping for an Uncharted collection similar to Master Chief collection.
Maybe this is when they will announce two big games.

I feel the same way man.
OT: I'm not expecting anything significant to be announced in this event really.
Does anybody know When VGA is happening ? It's when the big announcements happen.
